He/Him

I am trans and I am a paleontology masters’ student and science educator.//

After getting a bachelor’s degree in Earth System Science, I began to apply my skills as an educator, teaching field trip and public programs at an aquarium. I currently teach biology, chemistry, and physics labs for K-8 students in in-school, homeschool, and summer programs, and hope to spread awareness of scientific knowledge and methods. I am currently studying past mass extinction events in an effort to better understand the biosphere’s response to abiotic perturbations, whether extraterrestrial, volcanic, or human-caused in origin. The changes that humans are creating will affect life on this planet, and I am trying to take a holistic, systems-based approach to mitigating today’s environmental challenges.
