He/Him

I am gay and I am an analytical chemist. //

I have over 10 years of experience as an analytical chemist in the public, private, and academic sectors. Currently, I am the Technical Director of Chemistry for North America at Mérieux NutriSciences.  Previously, I was a scientist at The Coca-Cola Company where I served as a subject-matter expert in beverage analyses, method development, and mass spectrometry. Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, I led the end-to-end development and implementation of high-throughput methods to quantify tobacco exposure biomarkers as a research chemist at the CDC. After influencing risk assessment on current and emerging public health issues at the U.S. EPA, I worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. I advocate for diverse and inclusive representation in STEM via service with the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students, the Society for the Advancement of Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science, and the American Chemical Society, to name a few.

Here is a video project I’d like to share that I was part of for The Coca-Cola Company – https://youtu.be/B8PYv5qhpxs
