I’m queer and I’m a biochemist/structural biologist in training. //
I’m a queer Latinx graduate student studying biochemistry and structural biology at UCSF. I didn’t meet an openly out professor until I moved to the Bay Area in 2017. Being able to connect with other queer scientists has helped me establish a personal and professional support network. I’m hoping to work with others to promote diversity equity and inclusion within STEM and within academia.
