He/Him
I am queer and gay and I am a reptile evolutionary ecologist PhD student. //
I am a PhD student at the University of Canberra studying maternal nest-site choice of the central bearded dragons and the consequences it may have on their offspring. I grew up in a small conservative town in Alabama where it’s not okay to be queer and out. I’ve been lucky to have supportive family and friends (many in STEM). I’ve learned that STEM can be a very accepting place, but it’s still intimidating for those recently out. I’m so happy to share my profile here with other queer scientists who are doing amazing work.
