I am gay and I am a reproductive biologist.//

 

Hi I’m gay and a retired developmental and reproductive scientist.
I have had a very successful career based in Cambridge university, having been elected an FRS and an FMedSci. I am in a long-term relationship of some 40 years with my partner, and we are very open in our relationship and have never experienced any rejection by my colleagues at work or in my college (Christ’s). This is very different from when I first came up to Cambridge as a medical student in the early 1960s when I experienced a very homophobic environment.
