I’m gay and I’m a scientific illustrator and visual communicator. //

I’m currently working as a research assistant at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, where I’m lending my skills in animation and illustration to a multinational healthcare project. I completed my MSc in geochemistry with a specialization in astrobiology at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, and my MSC in biomedical communications at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. I’m known for taking complex, sophisticated ideas and translating them into didactic and beautiful visuals! I founded a studio called artsciĀ®, and my work has seen me create an animated patient-education program for kidney transplantation, illustrate communications architecture and design for NASA, and advocate for the use of visual storytelling in science education! Growing up, I never saw LGBTQ+ representation in STEM. My hopes are that more young people across the world are met with positive representations of LGBTQ+ in STEM work and research. I hope my work and passion for a unique, niche field in STEM communication both inspires and validates LGBTQ+ contributions.
