I am gay and I am a behavioral ecologist and science communicator. //
I’m a PhD student at the University of Missouri studying cognitive ecology in Anolis lizards. I’m interested in how individual cognition affects ecological and evolutionary patterns in natural populations. I also have a passion for science communication and outreach, participating in a variety of activities that connect citizens and scientists. Central to my approach to science communication and outreach is diversity in STEM, part of which is providing representation for future scientists. I found a haven in STEM when coming out, and, although tough, I hope others can find the same in the future. Please feel free to connect with me if any of our interests overlap in exciting ways!
