I am trans and I am a PhD student.//

I’m a grad student at Cornell studying ant evolution and microbiomes. I grew up in rural South Dakota, which had lots of insects, but not a lot of trans representation. When I decided to medically transition at 23, I didn’t know any other trans people in science. Thankfully, this has changed, but needs to change even more. The future of entomology is queer and trans!
