I am gay and I am an aquatic microbial ecologist and biogeochemist. //
I recently completed my PhD in Marine Sciences at UNC Chapel Hill, and am soon to start a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Uppsala University in Sweden. My research seeks to understand factors that structure aquatic microbial communities, and the consequences of microbial community composition on their functions in biogeochemical cycles.
