I am queer and I am an undergrad student/citizen scientist, bat advocate and educator.//

I’m a queer evolutionary biology undergrad. After feeling like I didn’t have a place in the queer community for many years, I realized there are people who may feel that way in the science community. I want to make the bat community and science community overall a more inclusive space and offer opportunities to those who may not get many chances to participate in field work or programs due to lack of money, age, gender, or race. Science should not have the barriers it does and 500queerscientists is helping break those down.
