I teach at a community college and do research in a few different areas, including data science, low-dimensional topology, and representation theory. I&#039;m active in the broader mathematical community, so you may see me speaking at conferences, organizing seminars or community events, or creating content as a science communicator on Instagram. People are multi-dimensional, and math academia often doesn\u2019t make space for that. I hope to show younger mathematicians that there&#039;s no one &quot;correct&quot; way to exist as a mathematician. Mathematics is a powerful tool for serving our community, and anyone can be a mathematician with the right support.
