I am bi and I am a microscopist. //

I make very small things look an awful lot bigger. Our lab uses electron microscopes and laser scanning microscopes to look inside cells, bacteria, viruses, and enzymes to try to understand how they work on a molecular level. I’ve been in the same job for twenty years now. My department lets me out to do fun school science sessions and science-based, stand-up comedy. I absolutely love my job.
