Heather McDevitt

She/Her

I am a lesbian and I am a quantitative ecologist and conservationist. //

I’m currently a master’s student studying quantitative methods in biodiversity, conservation, and epidemiology. My goal is to work at the intersection of achieving ecological and human goals, with my general interests being human-wildlife conflict resolution and sustainable development. My current research is exploring the conflict between productivity and biodiversity in low-intensity agriculture systems. We’re working to develop a quantitative framework to inform sustainable management decisions that optimize both biodiversity and productivity in agriculture.
