I am queer and I am a graduate student in biophysics. //
I am a PhD student at Harvard University studying the biophysics of cell division in bacteria. I use advanced light microscopy to study the process of bacterial cytokinesis at the single molecule level. In other words, I shine big lasers at tiny cells! In addition to my research, I love teaching science to a broader audience, and am an activist for queer and trans issues in science and in the larger world.
