I am gay and I am a neonatologist and a pulmonary vascular biology researcher.//
A neonatologist is a physician who takes care of premature babies and babies with congenital anomalies in the ICU. Along with my clinical responsibilities, I also perform bench research in the field of pulmonary vascular biology with a goal of identifying novel therapies for pediatric pulmonary hypertension. I am finishing up my medical training after 14 amazing years and will be joining faculty at Case Western University/UH Rainbow Babies as a physician-scientist in July 2021 to take care of neonates and continue my vascular biology research in Cleveland. I believe I have the best job in the world as I get to take care of tiny babies plus study the lung (the best organ that there is) in the lab!
