She/Her
I am queer and I am a lecturer in ecosystem rehabilitation. //
I’m sharing my @500QueerSci story because everyone should feel safe to express their identity in their workplace. I hope that as queer scientists, we can grow our visibility and community until diversity is accepted as the fantastic gift that it is. I completed my doctoral studies on the conservation biology of freshwater turtles in south Australia. I went on to research threatened frogs in south-eastern and tropical Australia. Recently, I have been appointed to the University of New England as a Lecturer in Ecosystem Rehabilitation. My research focuses on the management of invasive species and applied ecology of reptiles and amphibians.
