I am gay and I am a new-ish PI running a research group seeking to understand T-cell immune responses.//
I was fortunate to have been introduced to academia in a very pro-LGBTQ environment at King’s College Cambridge. Since then I have had postdoctoral experiences at UCL and Imperial College London, before moving to Birmingham, where I have settled to form my own research group. My research group are interested in understanding the dynamics of immune responses, and how this knowledge can be exploited to better design treatments for autoimmune diseases and cancer.
