I am gay and I am a PhD student working on plant-environment interactions. //

I started my university career with an undergrad degree in cell and molecular biology at Newcastle University, after which I worked in a microbiology laboratory before moving to Dundee to start a PhD. I’ve spent the last three(ish) years looking at the interactions between plants and insect pests and studying how these change under altered environmental conditions, with the aim to further understand how plant-pest interactions will change in response to climate change. I’ve also just had my first science article accepted for publication!
