I am gay and I am a neuroscientist.//
I am an Assistant Professor at Columbia University and at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) in the Division of Systems Neuroscience. I completed my PhD at King’s College London, followed by postdoctoral work at McGill University and at Columbia. My research focuses on identifying the neural circuits underlying individual differences in stress susceptibility and resilience, with a specific focus on how early life experiences shape the development of neural networks that regulate cognitive flexibility and fear discrimination.
