I am queer and I am a neuroimmunologist. //
I am soon to be (Jan 2019) an assistant professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers. I study immune responses in the brain and spinal cord, most often in the context of viral infections like West Nile virus and Zika virus. I’m looking forward, in particular, to mentoring trainees and promoting visibility and access for queer students and other marginalized groups in the sciences.
