I am queer and I am a biogeochemist.//

I am interested in how humans interact with their environment – using a variety of geochemical proxies in lake core records my doctoral work looks at how the Ancient Maya responded to climate change. I did an integrated masters degree at the University of Leeds/UC Santa Barbara followed by stints hitchhiking and working on farms in Central America and Europe, environmental consulting work in England, an igneous petrology research assistantship at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, before moving to Montréal to start my PhD.
