He/Him
I am bi/queer and I am a biological anthropologist. //
I’m a biocultural anthropologist pursuing my PhD at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My research focuses on examining the skeletal remains of people chosen for anatomical dissection and research in the U.S. and Iceland during the late 1800s. My own experiences growing up queer in a rural community has led me to ask why certain people are considered social “others” and how science either contributes to or refutes that othering. I believe diverse science and effective science communication are key to making real change in the world.
