I am a lesbian and I am a chemical biologist pursing my PhD in pharmaceutical sciences.//
I’m a PhD graduate student at the University of Arizona studying pharmaceutical sciences, with a concentration in drug discovery and development. I have a research focus in the field of chemical biology, making small molecule tools to study proteins. My undergraduate research was in physical chemistry, and after realizing I thought vitamin B12 was cooler than the laser I was working with, I made plans to move into medicinal chemistry. In my free time, I enjoy camping, gardening, and cooking. I hope to serve as a resource for people in need of support and to help give a voice to those who aren’t able to speak up for themselves.
